Let that sink in
My goal is to make a positive impact and potentially help save lives.
This comes not from an expert’s perspective, but from the genuine, flawed viewpoint of someone who has made mistakes, picked themselves back up, and yearns to share the universal connection we all love and need through the art of storytelling.
My only “ask” of this post is you subscribe to my YT channel so it may reach those who need a dash of hope and maybe even a bit of humor! (My greatest asset is I don’t take myself too seriously)
(Help me get the number of subscribers up to 100!)
In 2021, the suic*de rate was 700,000 souls.
A chilling and shocking number that may have ended the sufferers immediate pain, but ricocheted and magnified the pain of those left behind. A grief that never truly heals.
In 2020, the “plan” to keep us “safe” amounted to a global casualty list. People need connection. People need community. People need to connect through the timeless art of storytelling. It makes us human, helps us not to be so serious over day to day challenges.
When we were forced into isolation, it did the opposite of ‘keeping us safe.’
Addicts relapsed. The elderly died alone. The unemployed felt financial desperation. It was a deadly plan that failed. I wanted so badly to shout out my opinion, but I too was in survival mode.
Since I am unable to time-travel, I can’t go back and try to stop my nephew from making the wrong choice so many years ago, or keep my sister from overdosing on fentanyl. Or stop my pregnant sister from driving the night she and her baby were struck by a drunk driver and killed. But maybe, just maybe…someone will hear my myriad of stories from 20 years in recovery and decide to take the courageous path of changing their lives and choosing life. It’s never too late to change.
Humanity is one giant ripple effect. We have no idea the profound impact we can have by bringing our craft to the world, sharing our stories, or encouraging the hopeless to reach out for help.
We are social beings. We need one another and connection. So if you want to find out more about my mission, please subscribe to my little YouTube channel
My mission is BIG! I hope to reach people of all ages who have a lingering and irritating sense of disillusionment and loss of hope.
The trap many fall into is that by checking off all those bright red notifications on their phone, they have a false sense of “accomplishment,” but what they really have is a polluted brain from a myriad of voices ‘out there’ that have interrupted your train of thought with their opinion.
I can tell authenticity from a paid ad a mile away.
What was the Holy Spirit trying to communicate with you before the voices interrupted so rudely, into your morning?
Because we have but one life to live and your story matters.
What you do today, matters.
I may only have 23 subscribers now, but they are all organic, not paid marketing. Humanity craves humanity.
Maybe I can recycle the pain I have experienced, to lessen the pain for others.
Special thanks to Jill who unknowingly inspired me to write this post.

You are shinning your light so brightly Jackie! You ARE a beacon to those in darkness. By subscribing to the channel we never know who we will come across that though we might not have the answer we can share you with them.
